From the 24th of May 2007 to 13th June 2007,  a delegation of Action Congress UK members was in Lagos, Nigeria for the  inauguration of His Excellency, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) as the Governor of Lagos State. Members also attended celebrations to mark the fortieth anniversary of the creation of Lagos State.
