Action Congress UK members went to Lagos, Nigeria for the swearing in ceremony of His Excellency, Barr. Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), Governor of Lagos State. The team comprised of Chief (Dr) Ayo Owoade, Mr Tunde Grillo, Mrs Abiola Thompson - Orunkoya, Ms Philo Asimu and Hon Adewale Felix Ajayi.

Whilst in Lagos, the group met with various party officials and had a meeting with the executive committee of the Action Congress in Lagos State. The group also attended various events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the creation of Lagos State. Members also had a meeting with His Excellency, the Governor of Lagos State and presented him with a gift at the end of the visit. A press conference was held at the party secretariat in Lagos on Friday, 8th June 2007 and this was well attended by both print and electronic media houses..
